Padme 2 by Naboo-Girl Padme 2 by Naboo-Girl
Another costume I wore to Star Wars Celebration III. This is one of Padme's that she wore on Tatooine in Ep II.

*Updated 6/8/08* New photos with my headpiece I remade!

I heard you have an amazing tutorial for this costume. The person online referenced eastofthewoods.com/medievalcou… and that page doesn't work anymore.
Is it still up somewhere?
Thanks!!

Nice gown. Mmm. I wonder, as I am an amateur in clothing...is the skirt lined?

I love this costume!! It always looked like one of Padmé's more comfortable sets of clothes, 'cause let's face it the black leather corsette thingie didn't look like lots of fun!

My hat goes off to you as you figured out how on earth this costume worked!!!

This has always been one of my favorite costumes of Padme's, and you did a wonderful job with it. The top part especially... the construction of that one has always puzzled me. Really, really beautiful ^.^

It's great to find your DA account. I know I've been to your website before, and I was very impressed with all the costumes you've done ^.^

I've been trying to figure out how to say this, so here goes:

I normally do not really pay attention to things that are obviously costumes from movies or anime. Normally, they aren't very much fun for me to look at - a personal preference.

This however, is so well made, not to mention elegant and well fitted, that it grabbed my eye, and I had to fave it. Amazing. You captured more than just a movie costume here. You captured the spirit of the outfit, made it a part of YOU, and now there are not enough words to express how incredibly beautiful this is.

Thank you for showing that a movie costume can be more than just a recreation of something you saw.

Thank you so much for the comments! My mom actually taught me to sew when I was about 9 and I've been doing it ever since. I am going to start taking some sewing classes at my college this fall.

Lol... okay, I have a big question for you. I only have a Jedi outfit, and I want a couple other costumes that look more feminine. Where do you get your patterns?

I mostly make mine. Padawansguide.com is a good place to start. They have pages for all the costume with some recommend patterns and how to alter them.

Ooh! Question! What did you use to make the super spiffy headpiece? The whole gown is beautiful, esp the beading and the sleeve decorations!

I made the headpiece from craft foam and spraypainted it.
